June 22, 2019: One of Brownie's fondest and last memories of note was being able to give his daughter, Dana, away as a bride in the early Summer of 2019. The tears of joy in this picture stem from the surpsing song choice, "Delaney Talks to Statues" by Jimmy Buffett, from his favorite album.

From Utah Teammate and longtime friend, Larry Reid

The first time that I met Don was 50 years ago in the fall of '69. He introduced himself as Brownie. I thought "who would allow himself to be called Brownie." Little did I know that I would soon be known as Caveman. You can fight a nickname or own it. He owned his and was proud of it.

Nov 4, 1972: Arguably, the greatest comeback in the history of Utah football, and one of the biggest College Football has ever witnessed.


After three quarters, the Utes were losing to the Wildcats, 27-0. Fans made for the exits. Even after two quick TD passes that made the score 27-14 with 12 minutes left, reporters were leaving the press box to get to the locker rooms for the post-game reactions.
